People & Operations Executive - HR

We are looking for a People & Operations Executive who can go beyond a traditional HR role and help build the people, process, and operational backbone of a fast-moving startup.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who can manage core people operations such as recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, compliance documentation, and employee support, while also taking on adjacent responsibilities across administration, vendor management, founder support, and business operations as the company evolves.

In a small and growing startup, responsibilities often expand with business and product needs. We are therefore looking for someone who is not only strong in execution, but also comfortable wearing multiple hats over time, building structure in ambiguity, and helping the company run more smoothly across functions.

You will work closely with the founder and leadership team to ensure that critical people and operational workflows are managed with care, speed, and reliability.

What will you do?

• Own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, application screening, candidate outreach, interview scheduling, and coordination through onboarding.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including employee documentation, compliance formalities, offer letters, contracts, induction, exit documentation, and relevant relieving / service letters.
• Support payroll processes through leave tracking, payroll input preparation, payslip coordination, company transaction data entry, and statutory coordination such as PT and related compliance support
• Maintain employee records, documentation trackers, and internal process documents with high accuracy and confidentiality
• Handle administrative responsibilities such as workstation preparation, asset allocation and recovery, office coordination, and company asset management
• Manage relationships with external consultants and vendors, including contract drafting, billing coordination, invoice validation, approvals, payout follow-ups, and basic performance tracking
• Support founder-led outreach and engagement initiatives, including LinkedIn, external communication follow-ups, and community building.
• Contribute to employer branding, internal engagement, and company visibility across relevant channels
• Build and maintain simple systems, trackers, checklists, and SOPs that improve consistency, reduce manual dependency, and help the company scale smoothly
• Collaborate across teams and take on adjacent responsibilities beyond HR when required, based on evolving business and product needs

Who can apply?

• 2 years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, HR & Admin, Operations, or a similar role in a startup or fast-paced environment
• Hands-on experience in recruitment coordination, onboarding, employee documentation, and HR operations
• Exposure to payroll inputs, leave tracking, compliance documentation, and coordination with consultants or payroll partners
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with candidates, employees, vendors, consultants, and external stakeholders
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows, priorities, and follow-ups without losing attention to detail
• Comfort working in a startup environment where role boundaries may evolve over time based on business needs
• Ability to support both structured recurring work and ad hoc founder / business support tasks
• Familiarity with spreadsheets, documents, trackers, HR tools, and standard operational workflows
• Understanding of labor law basics, HR best practices, and confidentiality requirements
• High ownership mindset with the ability to work independently, handle sensitive information with discretion, and bring order to fast-changing environments

Good to have -
• Prior experience in a startup, early-stage company, or founder-led environment.
• Exposure to office administration, vendor coordination, or business operations
• Experience supporting leadership teams or founders on execution-heavy tasks
• Comfort with LinkedIn outreach, community engagement, or GTM support
• Interest in process building, automation, and improving operational efficiency over time
